Mantras
November 27, 2023As the air becomes crisp and the aroma of festive feasts fills our homes, I can’t help but embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving. It’s that special time when gratitude takes center stage, and I find myself surrounded by the warmth of family. Amidst the laughter and shared stories, I reflect on the blessings that have enriched my life.
This year holds a unique significance as I express my gratitude not only for the gift of life but also for the accomplishment of a cherished dream. Wrapped in the joy of Thanksgiving, I am thrilled to unveil my latest creation, “You Khanh Do It: How to Manifest Your D.R.E.A.M.S.,” a book that has been a labor of love throughout the past months.
The journey began in June, a period that now feels like a tapestry of inspiration and dedication. Originally conceived as a memoir, the project took an unexpected turn, blossoming into a self-help gem. What started as a personal narrative evolved into a guide for others to manifest their dreams – a transformation that aligned perfectly with the essence of the Thanksgiving season.
Guiding this metamorphosis was my incredible book editor, Porsché Mysticque Steele. Her expertise not only shaped the book but also became a beacon of encouragement. Initially targeting a Christmas release, Porsché’s insight and belief in our progress encouraged us to aim for the magical occasion of Black Friday. It’s a decision that fills my heart with joy, aligning the release with the festive fervor and the excitement of holiday shopping.
Reflecting on the creative process, Porsché encouraged me to embark on a vision board journey. As I carefully curated images that resonated with the essence of the book, little did I know that this visual representation would guide the project’s evolution. The original picture on the vision board serves as a testament to the synergy between dreams and the tangible reality of the final book.

A decade-old aspiration of becoming an author found its fulfillment in the most unexpected circumstances. A shift from immersive Pokémon gaming to the therapeutic realm of writing, catalyzed by a personal struggle with a stroke, became a profound outlet for creativity. Initially, I dismissed the idea of writing, citing my physical limitations, but the encouragement from my brother Anthony and the serendipitous suggestion from my caretaker Ruben opened a new chapter.
In the midst of challenges, my caretaker’s words, “you should write a book,” ignited a spark. Writing became not just a hobby but a lifeline, replacing the hours spent in the Pokémon gaming dimension. A 20,000-word memoir emerged, but it was Porsché’s wisdom that transformed it into a reader-centric narrative. Starting from scratch, we built a solid foundation that reflects the shared journey of triumph over adversity.
Kudos to Porsché for her unwavering guidance and expertise. The final look of the book, a testament to resilience and determination, will soon grace the digital shelves of Amazon on the enchanting occasion of Black Friday. It’s a culmination of dreams, transformed into a tangible reality, and I couldn’t be happier to share this journey with the world during the festive season.
As Thanksgiving transitions seamlessly into the excitement of Black Friday, I invite you to join me on this celebratory journey. “You Khanh Do It: How to Manifest Your D.R.E.A.M.S.” awaits, a beacon of inspiration and a perfect companion.
