My conversations with GOD

How to Visualize as having it
March 11, 2024Ever since my stroke, jotting down thoughts in a traditional journal just hasn’t been doable for me. But, guess what? I found a fantastic workaround – an app on my phone called Journey. It’s a game-changer! Journey stores all my entries in the cloud, letting me see what I was up to on this day in years past. It’s like having a time machine at my fingertips.
Here’s how I use it: I start with my daily affirmations. These aren’t just any affirmations; I write them down with the day’s vibe in mind, setting the tone for what’s ahead. Then, I do a quick recap of yesterday. It’s like catching up with an old friend, you know? I share the highs, the lows, and the in-betweens.
Gratitude is up next. I make it a point to jot down a few things I’m thankful for every day. It could be as simple as a sunny day or as big as the support from my loved ones. It’s all about finding joy in the little things.
But here’s the fun part: I scripted a short story about my future life. Yep, you heard that right. Using techniques I picked up from Neville Goddard, like “Isn’t it wonderful?” or “I remember when,” I dream up scenarios where my goals and wishes are already fulfilled. It’s not just daydreaming; it’s like crafting a preview of what’s to come.
And you know what? I keep it casual, like I’m chatting away with a buddy. This isn’t a formal essay; it’s a conversation with myself, about myself, and for myself. Sometimes, I even turn my affirmations into questions.
Why? Because it tricks my brain into thinking that the goodness I’m seeking is already on its way. It’s like asking, “Isn’t it amazing how I managed to overcome that challenge?” or “How cool is it that I’m living my dream life?” It sets a whole different mood.
So, if you’re like me, dealing with limitations that make traditional journaling a challenge, or if you’re just looking for a modern twist on keeping a diary, give something like the Journey app a try.
